How to Get Tarragon in Evomon — Murkwood Catch Route

Catch Tarragon in deep Murkwood (~Lv 140–150) or farm Tarro first, then evolve. Ice for the catch; GCZ stone/level leads to verify. Not the shiny hunt.

Quick answer

Tarragon is a Murkwood Grass/Dragon wild (~Lv 140–150 on our map sheet), or you evolve Tarro → Tarragon. NerdPurp’s how-to: walk to the far end of Murkwood and farm the Tarro / Tarragon pocket; bring Ice (he names Frostseer — auto-captions say “frostier”) because he calls the line quadra weak to Ice. AR3ZY’s speed clear hunts Tarro first (lower HP, faster KOs), then evolve a keeper. Third-party GCZ cards list Lv 70 + 30 Evolution / 15 Grass / 15 Dragonverify in the Evolve UI. This page is the catch/evolve answer. Shiny loops stay on Shiny Tarro.

Tarragon line at a glance

Dex order is #066 Tarro → #067 Tarragon. Both are Grass / Dragon on our sheets and on GCZ. Community bases for Tarragon: HP 87 / Attack 90 / Defense 75 / Sp. Atk 88 / Sp. Def 75 / Speed 100 — bulky with usable Speed, not a mid-island filler.

NerdPurp calls finished Tarragon one of the best ground mounts and a bulk fighter with Seed Bomb. AR3ZY says a built copy can solo the last boss in his footage. Treat those as creator showcases, not a reason to dump your first Evolution Stones here — evolution priority still funds Lavite / Bluebird dailies first.

Where to catch Tarragon (and Tarro)

Our map zones chart lists Tarro and Tarragon as Murkwood wilds in the Lv 140–150 band (island 135–150), next to Vipip / Vipour Poison spawns. GCZ’s Tarragon and Tarro dex cards independently put the wild catch on Murkwood.

NerdPurp’s How to Get Tarro & Tarragon walkthrough: go to Murkwood, then walk all the way to the very end of the map — that pocket has Tarros and Tarragons together. AR3ZY’s How To Get Tarragon FAST clip matches the island (auto-captions say “Markwood”) and tells you to find Tarro, Tarragon’s first form, because it has lower HP than wild Tarragon and is easier to KO.

Catch Tarro, evolve Tarragon

You can catch wild Tarragon in the same band. For a usable copy, most accounts follow AR3ZY: KO Tarro, catch a keeper Talent, then evolve. Spelling: GSC also shows taro / Terragon — in-game names are Tarro and Tarragon.

Ice coverage for the Murkwood pocket

NerdPurp: use Frostseer (captions: “frostier”) or another Ice type because Tarragon is quadra weak to Ice. GCZ’s Tarragon matchup card also lists Ice 4×. Our type chart has Ice super-effective vs Grass; Dragon is not a separate attacker row there — treat 4× as community / GCZ, and confirm the in-fight multiplier.

AR3ZY’s clear: stack Volcrest Electrify to nine, swap off, then Glacitadel (captions: “Glaciterado”) Frostbite → Frigid Force. That is a speed-clear for accounts that already own those mons — not a requirement to obtain Tarragon. If you lack Ice, the Shiny Tarro guide notes Hicko’s Lavarock loop as a mid/late substitute, not a type-chart rewrite.

This is not the shiny hunt

Field shiny/pity, smoke reveals, and Tarro vs wild Tarragon shiny volume live on the Shiny Tarro post. Use this page to unlock the line; use that page if the query is shiny tarro / shiny tarragon.

Evolve Tarro → Tarragon (stones labeled)

Path is Tarro → Tarragon (2-stage). GCZ evolution cards report Lv 70 + 30 Evolution Stones / 15 Grass / 15 Dragon for the evo. Those numbers are not official. Open Evolve and spend only what your client lists. Omni substitutes, if your build has them, also belong in that UI — we do not invent a second table.

Evolve a keeper Talent Tarro. AR3ZY’s clip even shows a Triple-S catch on camera; that is luck, not a published rate. Junk-Talent wild Tarragon is a slower catch and a worse stone sink.

  • Walk Murkwood to the far end — Tarro / Tarragon pocket (~Lv 140–150).
  • Prefer Tarro wilds for faster KOs, then evolve.
  • Do not invent stone costs — GCZ is a labeled third-party lead.

Best nature for Tarragon?

We did not find a creator clip that names one locked Tarragon nature the way Lavite has a Counter/+HP walkthrough. Natures are +10% / −10% one stat each — full table on Natures.

GCZ’s Tarragon skill card is mixed: physical hits (Dragon Claw, Wrap Assault, Horn Strike) and special sustain/nukes (Seed Bomb, Leaf Storm, Verdant Beam). Community bases are close (Attack 90 vs Sp. Atk 88). Practical split: if your live kit is physical, look at +Attack names (Adamant family); if you actually click Leaf Storm / Seed Bomb, look at +Sp. Atk (Modest family). Read the in-client tooltip before a Nature Reroll Potion. Speed 100 means Speed-down natures are not “free” on this wall.

No invented “best nature”

If a future video names a Tarragon nature with a shown tooltip, we can cite it. Until then, match the attacking stat you use — do not copy Lavite’s HP nature onto this line.

FAQ

How do you get Tarragon in Evomon?
Catch it in deep Murkwood (~Lv 140–150) or evolve Tarro. NerdPurp’s route is the far end of Murkwood where Tarro and Tarragon share a pocket. Prefer a keeper Tarro, then evolve.
Where do you catch Tarragon?
Murkwood wilds — our map sheet lists roughly Lv 140–150, at the end of the island. GCZ also lists the wild catch on Murkwood.
Should I catch Tarro or wild Tarragon?
AR3ZY hunts Tarro first because it has lower HP and is easier to defeat, then evolves. Wild Tarragon is the same band but usually a slower catch.
What is Tarragon weak to?
NerdPurp and GCZ call Ice a 4×. Bring Frostseer or another Ice for the farm. Confirm the multiplier in-fight — our type chart lists Ice as super-effective vs Grass.
What is the best nature for Tarragon?
No cited clip locks one name. Match +Attack or +Sp. Atk to the moves you actually use (GCZ shows a mixed physical/special kit). Natures are +10%/−10% — see the natures table and verify the tooltip.
Is Tarragon worth Evolution Stones?
Yes as a late Grass/Dragon sustain project once dailies are stable. It is a poor first-stone target while Verdant → Lava Crag still needs Rock/Fire carries.
Is taro the same as Tarro?
Yes — taro is a common misspelling. The in-game name is Tarro; the final evolution is Tarragon (not Terragon).
