Evolution Priority

Evolution Stones are scarce — merchant stock, login rewards, Infinite Tower, and battle pass drip them slowly. This page is the spend order only; full rankings stay on the Evomon tier list (July 2026 community synthesis).

Rule of thumb

Fund the pet that is already clearing your current island — usually Lavite after Lava Crag, even if Bubble was the best starter in the tutorial.

Stone priority order

  1. 1

First stone → the pet already winning fights

Spend on the line that is clearing islands, bosses, or dungeons today — not the pet you like on paper. On most routes that is Lavite on Lava Crag, but the rule is simpler: fund performance first.

Examples: Lavite → Lavarock · Bluebird → Volcrest (after quest unlock)

Avoid: Evolving Bubblade or Blazgrowl while Lavite is still unevolved.

  2. 2

Second stone → whatever wall you are stuck on

If Petal Pond grass is the problem, grass jumps up the queue. If boss DPS is the problem, fire or bleed lines move ahead. Pick by blocker, not abstract tier rank.

Examples: Pebble → Pebgolem if early bosses hurt · Whispuff line when poison routes open

Avoid: Copying a YouTube endgame list before you can reach that island.

  3. 3

Skip duplicate typings until core trio is set

Two water lines or two fire lines before mid-game wastes stones. One strong water, one fire/rock, one flex DPS or tank is enough through Amber Acres.

Examples: Bubble line + Lavite is fine — stop at Bubboxer · Sparkit OR Blazpup line, not both

Avoid: Stoning Clampip, Gobfish, and Bubble in the same week.

  4. 4

Boss specialists after your daily team works

Arcub, Frostlet, and Tarro are strong but harder to obtain. Once Lavarock + Bluebird (or equivalent) handle dailies, invest in the boss answer you actually run.

Examples: Arcub → Arcapex for AOE routes · Frostlet → Frostseer for high-HP bosses

Avoid: Rushing Arcapex before you can farm Funder Cliff reliably.

  5. 5

    Re-check at trainer level 30

Ultimates and Ascension change combat timing. Pets with better Ultimate windows often deserve the next stone even if they ranked lower pre-30.

Examples: Finish Lavarock before side projects · See level 30 guide for Ascension order

Avoid: Keeping a pre-30 stone plan after Ultimates unlock.

FAQ

Should I evolve Bubble first?

Lavite or Bluebird first?
Lavite first if you are on or near Lava Crag — easier to catch and immediately stabilizes fire/rock fights. Bluebird after Raven Ridge unlocks.
When is it okay to evolve a favorite?
After your first carry and second blocker pick are evolved and clearing the content you play daily.
